Ten children per teacher, at most.
In our toddler and preschool rooms a teacher never has more than ten children, so yours gets noticed, comforted and celebrated.
Safe, and watched over.
Every team member is background-checked and fingerprinted, and a CPR-certified teammate is always on duty. We practice fire and tornado drills, and we call you right away if your child is hurt.
Faith and learning, together.
Preschool uses STREAMin3, a research-based curriculum developed at the University of Virginia, with A Beka phonics-based reading. Bible stories and simple devotions sit alongside play.

Good to know. Growing Station operates as a religious-exempt child day center under Virginia law, which means the state does not license it the way it licenses other centers. We’re happy to walk you through our staffing, safety practices and policies on your tour, and to answer anything you’d like to ask.

Paying twice a month is half the monthly amount each time. 1st Grade has a $275 book and materials fee. Tuition can change and isn’t reduced for holidays, closings, vacations or absences.

How old does my child need to be?
We care for children from 2½ to 12. Preschoolers need to be potty trained. Our programs run from Preschool and PreK through Kindergarten and 1st Grade, plus before and after school care for older children.
Where are you located?
We’re at Fullness Church, 730 Canal Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23323, a short drive north of Deep Creek.
What are your hours?
We’re open Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, all year. We close for major holidays and for one week at the end of August, and we let families know right away if bad weather closes us.
How much does it cost?
Full-time Preschool through Kindergarten is $985 a month, part time is $561.05, 1st Grade is $847.52, and before and after school care is $703.21. Registration, a yearly building fee and a book fee apply at enrollment. The tuition section above lists everything.

Do you have openings right now?
Openings change by age group and schedule, so the quickest way to know is to ask. Tell us your child’s age and when you’d like to start, and we’ll tell you exactly what’s available.
What if my child cries at drop-off?
That’s completely normal. We suggest a hug, a quick goodbye and a hand-off to the teacher. Most children soon settle in and join the fun, and if yours needs extra help, we’ll call you.
Do we need to be part of a church?
No. Families from every background are welcome. Our teaching is Christian, with Bible stories and devotions as part of the day.
Is Growing Station licensed by the state?
Growing Station operates as a religious-exempt child day center under Virginia law, so it isn’t licensed by the state. We do take part in Virginia Quality, and we’re glad to talk through our staffing, safety practices and policies whenever you’d like.
